I just wish every other cartoon nowadays didn't look exactly the same.

The fact Ed Edd n' Eddy, Teen Titans, Samurai Jack, Ben 10, and Foster's Home once existed on the same channel, is absolutely insane to consider now.

I can only take noodle limbs for so long before the fact that, outside of CGI shows, even shows with the most rigid of anatomy principles for the styles of today (Star vs, Steven, probably a few others)
still follow those same basic principles, sets in.

Quite frankly, if I watched more TV instead of picking and choosing what I watch ultra selectively and finding it on some bootleg site, this would definitely be one of my top concerns.

But I don't, so my concern is to find a show I like in the first place still.

Am I the only one that likes OK KO and/or Craig of the Creek?
I originally didn't think much of them, but the shows have grown onto me.

KO, I think, is a step in a good direction. It handles action fairly well, reminding me of older cartoons before everything got robbed of 'violence'and I feel that the video game/meme references are done well. I love the characters and the world around them-Dendy is my personal favorite.

Craig of the Creek..I can't exactly pin down what about it..but something about the show feels nostalgic for me. Not as a show, but of real life. Maybe it's the creativity the characters show within the creek- taking random odds and ends and turning them into functioning items (somehow got a recliner with a cup holder from a cardboard box and some string). When I was younger I tried to do similar, using old items not used in attempt to make something new (did not end up the same way as in the show, lol). Reminds me of my childhood, searches for adventure within the trees/woods around my house, experimenting with various items (THAT was really dangerous, I could have made a toxic liquid/gas with all the chemicals and stuff I messed with)...

I like to believe at this point that the art style itself is less of a signal of lazy writing, I have issues with OK KO that are divorced from everything else the show does right. Craig of the Creek started as what it was, Star VS started as what it was, Gumball started as what it was. TTGO, PPG2016, and this one are all action shows that got downgraded to "kids" comedy.

Idk, every generation has its defining art style so seeing cartoons with a similar art style doesn't really bother me. Doesn't detract from the quality of the show.

Edit: I took some time thinking and wound up wanting to reiterate myself, I'm starting to find I don't hate the CalArts style because I like Gumball and Star VS. Maybe what I don't like is reboots of shows that are like previously mentioned already, PPG2016, and TTGO. Ducktales handled their reboot well, and TTGO does this and insults people for disliking it.

And hell, people are saying the style is a trend, and maybe people are also getting sick and tired of seeing it. Or maybe Action cartoons aren't translating well enough to the beanface comedy reboot people are getting sick and tired of already. No one is impressed and journalists and studio's don't need to act like findom's.

Edit 2: new Matt Groening cartoon

Well I removed the tweet since you're going to be dense about it, and I'm going to quit where I am as it is.

That he did, I wonder if everyone else has already seen the images that had the gorillaz existing in the powerpuff girls universe or not.
