When it comes to themes what's your favorite kind? For example, Discord has Light and Dark themes.

Personally, I prefer lighter themes myself because I am tough and can take it.

depends on the context

For example, I use Discord's dark theme because I think the light one contrasts with their general UI design.

But then we have this very site, where I use the Illusion theme because I simply think it looks best.

Then we have Twitter which I often see screenshots of having a dark theme, but quite frankly I don't like its appearance.

Ultimately, as long as I don't think the colors contrast in a heavily unpleasing fashion, or find one to be simply better appearance-wise, I don't really care what it is, and won't bother to change from the default.

I used to use the heck out of light themes, however they can trigger/upset my migraines now so I have shifted over to dark themes. Here I use the default SEGA Carnival theme, as the neon of SEGA Illusions hurts my eyes and it's over all too dark for me to read.

I miss the golden age

But if we're talking about right now then dark theme is the way to go, always (except if it detracts from the program/website's experience).

For me it widely varies. I prefer the dark theme on Youtube but use light on Discord. For SEGA Carnival and other forums I tend to go for the defaults.

i honestly usually stick to defaults, but somewhat lean towards darker themes... i use night mode on twitter mobile and dark on discord... though on the forums here i just use default SEGA Carnival since it's pretty neutral

I usually use darker themes, but if they don’t bode well with me, I’d probably just go for defaults.

I like the look of SC default so I’m using that right now.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
